Kesimpta is not like chemo nor is it chemo and instead Kesimpta is an immunosuppressant drug that aims to weaken the immune system although Kesimpta does have cancer indication that is similar to rituximab.

Kesimpta makes you feel achy and makes you feel like you have the flu for 24 hours after taking Kesimpta.

At first you should feel fine but after the 4 to 6 hours the flu like symptoms often appear and then go away within 24 hours.

Some side effects of Kesimpta include back pain and urinary tract infections, upper respiratory infections, headaches and injection site reactions.

Kesimpta cannot stop MS although Kesimpta can help to slow disability progression of MS, decrease the amount of active lesions and reduce MS relapses.

Kesimpta helps to prevent relapses of MS and the progression of MS by stopping the B cells from attacking myelin.

People who should not take Kesimpta are people that have active hepatitis B liver disease as the hepatitis B liver disease can become active again during or after any treatment with Kesimpta.

If the hepatitis B liver disease becomes active again it can cause serious liver problems including liver failure and death.

Kesimpta does not cause hair loss and hair loss is not a side effect of Kesimpta.

However hair loss is possible when taking Kesimpta with other medications like azathioprine.

The success rate of Kesimpta is 79 percent which is a pretty good success rate.

Kesimpta is better than rituxan although they also work the same way and Rituxan is the oldest drug.

Rituxan has a 54 percent success rate and Kesimpta has a 79 percent success rate.

Kesimpta is taken once monthly which is every 4 weeks as a month contains 4 weeks.

To keep it simple when taking Kesimpta the Kesimpta should be taken on the same day every month.

For example if your first monthly dose of Kesimpta is taken on May 12th then you should take your next dose of Kesimpta on June 12th.

Insurance does pay for Kesimpta and some health insurance plans may have a small copay for the Kesimpta although you can also sometimes get Kesimpta without a copay depending on your health insurance plan.

The cost of Kesimpta per year is $128,000.00 per year.

Health insurance will cover most or all of the cost of Kesimpta and some insurances of a $0 copay so you may not need to pay a copay.

The cost for Kesimpta (20 mg/0.4 mL) subcutaneous solution is around $9,208.00 for a supply of 0.4 milliliters, depending on the pharmacy you visit.

Kesimpta is used for the treatment of MS (Multiple Sclerosis), CIS (Clinically Isolated Syndrome), Active Secondary Progressive disease and relapsing remitting disease in adults.

MS or multiple sclerosis is what Kesimpta is most commonly used for but it's also used for the other above listed conditions.

MS or multiple sclerosis is a condition where the immune system is overactive and it mistakenly attacks the myelin sheath which is the covering over the nerves.

The condition CIS or clinically isolated syndrome also involves the immune system attacking the myelin sheath.

Kesimpta also known as ofatumumab is a fully human monoclonal antibody to CD20, which appears to provide rapid B-cell depletion.

And under the brand name Kesimpta, it is approved for the treatment of multiple sclerosis in the United States as well as in the European Union and other regions.

A new trial found that Kesimpta consistently beat Aubagio in sending MS into remission, regardless of patient race/ethnicity.

The trial also involved people with relapsing-remitting MS.

Kesimpta is an FDA approved medicine that is used to slow the progression and risk of relapses for specific forms of relapsing multiple sclerosis (MS).

Kesimpta is a once a month injection given under the skin (subcutaneously) that you can self-administer in your own home.

Common side effects of Kesimpta include injection-site reactions, such as redness, pain, itching and swelling at the injection site as well as injection-related reactions, such as fever, headache, muscle pain, chills and tiredness.

Kesimpta is not a chemotherapy drug, but it is an immunosuppressant.

Chemotherapy works by killing rapidly multiplying cells in the body.

The cost for Kesimpta (20 mg/0.4 mL) subcutaneous solution is around $9,208.00 for a supply of 0.4 milliliters, depending on the pharmacy you visit.

If you have ever had HBV infection, the HBV may become active again during or after treatment with KESIMPTA.

Hepatitis B virus becoming active again (called reactivation) may cause serious liver problems, including liver failure or death.

You should not take KESIMPTA if you have active hepatitis B liver disease.

As for long term use of Kesimpta and it's safety, the long-term Kesimpta use was found to be well-tolerated and there were no unexpected safety signals reported.

Overall adverse event (AE) and serious AE rates after six years of Kesimpta treatment were consistent with the core Phase III trials and the extension study.
