Why do you cut the tail of a Doberman?

Why are Doberman dogs tails cut?

I personally think it's a very cruel thing to do to cut a Dobermans or any other dogs tail.

But the reason people cut Dobermans tails is due to cosmetic reasons and looks.

It's just a standard practice and there's really no good reason for a Dobermans or other dogs tail to be docked and cut and even the RSPCA is against the docking of dogs tails.
