Rinvoq is not a pain killer but instead is a JAK inhibitor which reduces joint pain by reducing inflammation, swelling and stiffness.

Rinvoq also stops irreversible joint damage and reduces rheumatoid arthritis fatigue.

Some people stay on Rinvoq for as long as 12 weeks and other people may need to stay on Rinvoq longer.

The recommended starting dose of Rinvoq is 45 mg once a day for up to 12 weeks and then you may need to increase the dosage after 12 weeks.

Rinvoq can cause side effects such as blood clots, increased risk of heart attack, stroke, sleepiness or tiredness, weight gain, nausea, fever and upper respiratory infections.

While on Rinvoq you need to avoid grapefruit and grapefruit juice or any other foods containing grapefruit.

Grapefruit and grapefruit juice can interact with Rinvoq and cause side effects.

The success rate of Rinvoq is 63 percent and works well in the majority of people who take Rinvoq.

Rare but serious side effects from Rinvoq can occur which include a higher risk of heart problems, cancer, and serious infections.

People who should not take Rinvoq are people that are allergic to any medication that contains upadacitinib which is an active ingredient in Rinvoq or if you're allergic to any other ingredients in Rinvoq.

Also if you have heart disease, at risk of a stroke or blood vessel problems or other heart problems then Rinvoq may not be right for you and could make the conditions worse.

If you have certain risk factors, you may be at increased risk of heart or blood vessel problems with Rinvoq.

Increased risk of death is also possible with Rinvoq.

It's possible that Rinvoq may increase the risk of death in certain people.

Atopic dermatitis or eczema.

Crohn's disease.

Ulcerative colitis.

Non radiographic axial spondyloarthritis.
