Pacifiers really should be taken away before the child turns 1 year old.

Some children use pacifiers until they're 3 and 4 years old and that's okay too and I'm not judging those parents.

But if you wait too long to take the pacifier away then it will be much more of a struggle.

It's much easier to take the pacifier away from the child before they turn 1 since they won't put up much of a fight.

Pacifiers really have no benefits past age 1 anyway other than soothing the child.

Prolong pacifier use once the child starts teething can actually mess up and miss align teeth as well which will require dental procedures and braces to fix.

Before age 1 is the best age to take away a pacifier but the pacifier should be used no longer than 4 years of age.
