Most eye floaters are not serious and cause no harm other than messing with your vision.
Eye floaters will typically go away on their own without treatment but if you do get treatment for the eye floaters then the ophthalmologist will remove the vitreous through a small incision and then replaces it with a solution to help your eye maintain its shape.
Sometimes surgery can make the eye floaters worse or come back so only have the surgery done to remove the eye floaters if it's deemed medically needed.
