Yes Carpet Cleaner will work great on a couch to clean it.
I use Resolve Carpet Cleaner on my couch and it does a good job at cleaning stains off the couch or even just everyday normal dirt that collects on the couch.
I also clean the couch at times using a Bissell upholstery cleaner with Vinegar and Water when the couch is just a little dirty.
