Normally, with 2018’s products, when something is hacked it’s not because the software or hardware. It’s because the person who’s using it.

For example, it’s almost impossible hack Facebook but it’s easy to do do “Phishing” to obtain the password of someone.

So smart homes can be hacked by two ways:

1-The person

2-As they are new technologies its software con have some exploit.

Technically anything is hackable. Some security measures are certainly stronger than others but there will always be vulnerabilities. Some home security systems can make a smart home even smarter and secure. These security devices can coexist alongside your existing smart devices so you can control everything with the push of a button. My home is under protection of this system https://iridi.com/pro/

iRidium pro is a tool for installers that allows to:

  • – realize all demands of a customer;

  • – integrate any equipment in a project;

  • – create a good-looking control interface.

Yes A smart home can be hacked if someone really wanted to hack the smart home.

I personally wouldn't want a smart home just because of the fear of someone maybe controlling my home without my knowledge and may even be watching me.
