The active ingredient in Tegretol is carbamazepine which is another name for Tegretol.

Tegretol also contains inactive ingredients which include silicon dioxide, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate and sodium carboxymethylcellulose.

When taking Tegretol also known as carBAMazepine you should avoid grapefruit juice and eating grapefruits as they can cause carBAMazepine levels to increase and can cause side effects such as muscle weakness, dizziness, nausea and visual disturbances.
