Well since Elmo is just a muppet Elmo really has no gender.
But the character Elmo is supposed to a male that is 3 ½ years old.
Elmo's Birthday is supposed to be on Feb 3rd and is a very adorable character and he can even make me smile when I'm feeling down and I'm an adult.
Elmo and Sesame Street is a lovable show for adults as well and not just for toddlers and kids.
