The STD that causes white tongue is Syphilis.

Syphilis, a sexually transmitted disease, can also cause white spots on the tongue, which are called syphilitic leukoplakia.

Syphilis is very and highly contagious when the syphilis sore is visible.

After the syphilis sore is gone then syphilis is considered no longer contagious.

You can get syphilis from someone or spread syphilis to someone through unprotected sex which includes anal sex, oral sex and vaginal sex.

Syphilis does eventually go away with treatment and even without treatment.

However without treatment the syphilis infection will remain in your body but the symptoms will go away.

With the right antibiotics syphilis is curable and will go away.

Once you get syphilis it can take up to 3 weeks or sometimes longer for syphilis symptoms to show up and appear.

Sometimes the symptoms of syphilis will improve or go away completely but if not treated the syphilis infection will remain in your body.

The 4 symptoms of syphilis are fever, swollen lymph nodes, sore throat and patchy hair loss.

Other symptoms of syphilis are fatigue, muscle aches, weight loss and headaches and sores.

The first sign of syphilis is a small sore, called a chancre which is a sore that appears at the spot where the bacteria entered your body.

While most people infected with syphilis develop only one chancre, some people develop several of them.

The chancre usually develops about three weeks after exposure.

The STD that can be mistaken for syphilis is herpes which is often seen as similar to the average person.

Both herpes and syphilis are characterized by sores and skin lesions which can appear around the mouth, on the rectum and genitals.

The sores with herpes and syphilis look different and feel different.

Syphilis can be transmitted through kissing although syphilis is most commonly transmitted through front hole sex, oral sex or anal sex.

Syphilis is 100% treatable and curable with the right antibiotics from your doctor.

Although treatment may not undo any damage that is done by the infection or cause.

Untreated syphilis is fatal in most cases as if it's not treated the syphilis can stay in the body and damage the heart, eyes, brain and other organs and could eventually kill you.

Syphilis usually makes you feel like you have the flu or mild flu like symptoms which can include muscle aches, headaches, swollen glands, sore throat, feeling tired and even a slight fever.

With syphilis you may also have sores in the mouth, anus or vagina or even weight loss or hair loss.

Without treatment the syphilis will stay in your body even though there may be no symptoms or signs,

The early latent syphilis is where infection occurs within the past 12 months.

The average time between getting syphilis and the start of the syphilis symptoms is usually 21 days although it can range from 10 days to 90 days.

With stage 1 syphilis you will usually have multiple sores that appear at the location where the syphilis enters the body.

In the first stage of syphilis, a small, smooth sore develops on your genitals, mouth or lips.

It may resemble a pimple and be so small and harmless that you don't even notice.

The sore goes away on its own in about six weeks. In the second stage of syphilis, a rough, red or brown rash develops.

A syphilis bump will look like rough, red, or reddish brown in color spots that can be both on the palms of your hands and on the bottoms of your feet.

Although the rashes with syphilis can occur on other parts of your body and sometimes may resemble rashes that are caused by other diseases.

You can catch syphilis through unprotected sex such as vaginal, oral or anal sex without a condom or by kissing or licking someone's anus or even through contact with moist skin areas that can be anywhere inside or on the body.

Syphilis is a silent STD as it's also often referred to as being a silent infection.

Chlamydia is also known as a “silent” infection because most infected people have no symptoms.

If symptoms do occur, they may not appear until several weeks after exposure.

The STD's that are not curable are HPV Human Papilomavirus, HIV, Hepatitis B and herpes simplex virus.

Other STD's that are curable are trichomoniasis, chlamydia, gonorrhoea and syphilis.

An STD you can get from and through kissing is herpes.

You can also get other STD's such as CMV and Syphilis through and from kissing.

STD can be spread through oral sex as well as regular sex.
