It can depend on personal preferences but I find that I sleep better if my bedroom is 65 F or 55 F.
During the day I keep my heating on to 70 F and then turn it down to 65 F or 55 F depending on how cold it is outside.
If it's below freezing outside I keep the thermostat set at 65 F and if it's 30 F or above outside I keep the thermostat on 55 F which keeps it cool and warm enough for me to sleep comfortably.
Layering lots of heavy blankets can keep you really warm enough to sleep while turning down your heating to save on heating bills in the winter.
