When a kid is too big for a changing table you can change the older kids diaper or kids diaper on the floor, couch or a bed.
You can change an older kids diaper the same as you would change a toddlers diaper.
Simply lay the older kid who is in diapers down on the floor with a changing mat or towel or simply on the floor.
If the older kid is in a poopy diaper then laying down a changing pad or towel is a good idea to keep any poop off the floor.
Next undo their pants or shorts if they are wearing pants or shorts and pull them down and if the kid is wearing shoes take them off if necessary.
Then undo the diaper tabs and pull the diaper away from their body and pull the old diaper out from underneath the kid.
Or before pulling the old diaper out you can take the clean part of the diaper and wipe off any poop with the diaper and then pull the diaper out from underneath the child.
Then take some wipes or a washcloth and wipe the child's bottom and other private area until it's clean.
If the child is really messy and wipes are not enough to clean the poop you can shower them off.
After cleaning the child you can then lift their butt up or have them lift their butt up and then slide the new clean fresh diaper under their bottom.
Next pull the clean diaper up between the child's legs and then secure the diaper with the tabs doing one side at a time and ensure the diaper is tight enough but not too tight.
After taping the diaper on the child take your finger and run it through the leg gathers to ensure they are out and to prevent the diaper from leaking.
Then put the child's pants or shorts or other clothing back on and shoes if necessary or leave them in just the diaper and shirt or diaper if they are more comfortable that way.
