Keratosis Pilaris is hereditary so if you do have other family members that have Keratosis Pilaris then there's a good chance you'll get Keratosis Pilaris or even have gotten Keratosis Pilaris due to hereditary reasons.

However the way someone inherits Keratosis Pilaris can vary from family to family and if one parent has Keratosis Pilaris then there's a 1 in 2 chance that the child will inherit it as well.

Keratosis pilaris is caused by extra keratin that accumulates in your hair follicles.

Due to the astringent properties that Apple Cider Vinegar contains Apple Cider Vinegar works really well for treating and getting rid of Keratosis Pilaris.

Mix one part Apple Cider Vinegar to one part of water and apply it to the Keratosis Pilaris and let it dry out and then wash your face off with water.

Do this 2 to 3 times per day until the Keratosis Pilaris goes away.

Keratosis pilaris is a harmless skin condition which causes dry, rough patches and tiny bumps, often on the upper arms, thighs, cheeks or buttocks.

The bumps with keratosis pilaris usually don't hurt or itch. Keratosis pilaris is often considered a common variant of skin.

Keratosis pilaris can appear as round or oval-shaped waxy or rough bump, typically on the face, chest, a shoulder or the back.

A flat growth or a slightly raised bump with a scaly surface, with a characteristic "pasted on" look.

Varied size, from very small to more than 1 inch (2.5 centimeters) across.

Some actinic keratoses can turn into squamous cell skin cancer.

Because of this, the lesions are often called precancer.

They are not life-threatening.

But if they are found and treated early, they do not have the chance to develop into skin cancer.
