Well technically you can die from a fall of 10 feet or less if you hit your head or fracture your spine.
So as long as you don't fracture your spine or fall and hit your head during the 30 foot fall or don't fall into something that cuts into you then you may be able to survive the 30 foot fall.
If you fall say at a construction site from 30 feet and fall into things such as rebar or other metal etc then that could potentially be fatal.
I met a guy who fell 50 feet while at a construction site and landed on some rebar and a piece of rebar went through his head.
He almost didn't survive but thankfully he did due to quick medical care and careful removal of the rebar.
Landing on your side is usually the best way to survive a fall of even 30 feet.
