A poison ivy rash doesn't really spread over your body even when scratching it although it can appear like the rash is spreading.

Poison Ivy rash is also not contagious to anyone else should you touch another person while being infected with the poison ivy.

You can apply some apple cider vinegar to the poison ivy rash by soaking a washcloth in the apple cider vinegar and then laying the washcloth over the rash.

The apple cider vinegar can soak the toxins that are causing the rash out of your skin and kill the toxins as well.

You can also apply some Calamine lotion to the poison ivy rash which will help stop the poison ivy rash from itching.

The poison ivy rash should go away within 3 to 5 days when applying some apple cider vinegar or Calamine lotion to it.
