The best way to potty train your toddler and make it fun is to allow your toddler to pick out their favorite underwear or panties depending on if your toddler is a boy or girl.

Allowing your toddler to pick out their own underwear can help to make potty training more fun.

Many toddler undewear have pictures on them that many toddlers enjoy and allowing them to choose the ones they prefer can help them transition to underwear.

For example my 3 year old loves Paw Patrol and so I got him excited about wearing undewear and using the potty by telling him he could pick out his favorite characters on the underwear and he wanted paw patrol.

Once I got his paw patrol underwear he started becoming excited about wanting to wear the underwear.

He was still a bit resistant to the potty but I told him that if he wore the paw patrol underwear he would need to use the toilet so he could keep his underwear clean and not get the paw patrol characters wet or dirty.

He had accidents of course but after a few months he began to keep his underwear and pants dry.

All toddlers and kids potty training are gonna have accidents and you should just tell them that it's okay and they will do better next time.

Praise the toddler when they go on the toilet.

Also allow your toddler to sit on the potty even in a diaper so they can get used to sitting on the potty even when watching TV and then move it to the bathroom after awhile.

Toilet training-themed books, videos, songs and games can also get your toddler or child more involved in the potty training process.

Another thing is to make sure your toddler is ready to potty train as while some toddlers are ready to potty train at 18 months to 2 years old, it's not uncommon for some toddlers to not be ready to potty train until 3 and even 4.

Your toddler will eventually learn to use the potty.

You could also use your toddlers favorite toy such as a teddy bear and put underwear on them and take the bear or other toy to the potty and sit it on the potty with it's underwear down and tell the child that the bear or toy is going potty, so now why don't you try it?

The toddler will likely want to mimic their favorite bear or toy and go potty.

If your toddler is a boy you can have them pee in the toilet and aim to hit targets such as Cheerios.

Get creative: make up a silly poo or wee story or song and dance together. ...
Fun with bubbles: Give your child something to blow like bubbles when they are sitting on the potty. ...
Magic wee water: Help your child to pour some water into their potty.
