If your dog starts doing something wrong you should start by making a loud noise to distract the dog from what he's about to do or is doing.
You can also use a squirt bottle with water to spray at the dog when they're misbehaving or put the dog in timeout such as in a bathroom or other room without anybody in it.
Another way to discipline your dog is to remove the dog from what he/she is doing wrong and immediately put the dog in a dog crate.
Think of the dog crate as jail.
When someone commits a crime they usually go to jail and get locked up in a jail cell so you could use this same technique in a way with your dog.
Put the dog in a crate for an hour or 2 and then remove them and tell them if they misbehave again they'll go back into the crate.
You can also train your dog to stop and sit on command when they're doing something wrong.
