Yes filing bankruptcy can stop the medical bills since medical bills are unsecured debt like credit cards.

When filing bankruptcy it should wipe out any unsecured debt including medical bills.

Although only bankruptcy if you have no other choice since filing bankruptcy can really mess with  your credit and could hurt your chance of getting any needed future loans or other credit.

Also there's a fee for filing for bankruptcy which ranges from $300.00 to $350.00

Medical bills are easily wiped out when filing for bankruptcy so if you have not other choice then that's what you should do.
