Babies go through different amount of diapers depending on the age of the baby.
Newborn babies go through 10 to 12 diapers per day since they will wet more often and poop more often than older babies and toddlers.
1 year olds may only need 6 to 8 diaper changes per day and then 2 and 3 year old toddlers may only need 4 to 6 diapers per day since they wet less and poop less.
Older toddlers between 2 and 3 years old will be able to hold in their urine and then pee during a set schedule so they will tend to flood their diapers and only need a diaper change every 2 to 3 hours.
