When your daughter doesn't want to spend time with you it can be for several reasons which includes them not feeling heard or they just want some space.

Depending on the age of your daughter it could be that she's just getting to an age where she doesn't want to hang around her mother as much as she used to and wants to hang with her friends more.

As kids get older they tend to not want to spend as much time around their parents as the used to even though they love you still.

Your daughter's or child's emotional distance may be caused by changing family dynamics, a need for more freedom, or negative experiences in their childhood.

Reach out to your daughter or child with a phone call or letter.

Explain that you regret the distance between you, and that you want to take steps to bridge it.

Spending time and doing things with your child helps to build your relationship.

You can spend time together as part of everyday activities, or you can make special time for play, games and other activities.

Try sharing activities like preparing food, reading, playing word games, going to the park and more.

If your daughter or child is turning against you should consider getting your child into therapy where he or she can discuss the beliefs that has turned him or her against you.

Try not to take your child's behavior toward you personally, and instead work to build an even stronger loving and trusting relationship with your child so that he or she feels safe with you.

Allow your child to ask for a change of times and days when they see you and help them to feel comfortable doing this.

If what they're asking for isn't possible, then explain why and work together to find alternative solutions.

Remember to listen to your child's point of view.
