Checking Account Closed For Overdraft Charges?

Question

My Checking Account was closed a few days ago for overdraft charges.

I took care of those charges but they don't want to let me have a checking account with them anymore.

They told me I wouldn't be able to open a new checking account with anyone since they reported my history with them through chex systems?

Is this true? I really need a checking account for my employer to deposit my paycheck.

I've had that happen to me too a few years ago. I went to another bank and got in just fine.

I believe the larger banks check the chex system but some of the smaller banks could care less about chex systems.
