Home owners insurance differs from auto insurance so while making a claim on your auto insurance may increase your premiums for your auto insurance it won't increase your premiums on home owners insurance to put in a home owners insurance claim.
If you do have some significant damage to your home you should always put in a home owners insurance claim and have the insurance cover and pay for the repairs to the home.
Filing a claim for home owners insurance will not raise your premiums.
Also insurance companies can only submit rate increases once per year so even if your premiums did increase it wouldn't happen for a year at least.
However if the damage was done to your home and it wasn't your fault then file an insurance claim and your premiums should not go up.
