It would depend on the laws in your state.
Some states it's legal for an employer to pay you late once in awhile.
But most states do have laws in place where the employer could face penalties and be forced to pay you on time.
If your employer continues to pay your wages late then you can sue that employer for paying you late but be aware that you could lose your job once you sue the employer so have another job in place just in case you get fired after suing the employer.
