God's mother tongue is the silence, the voice of the heart inside and the Serene breeze nourishment of good.

What Jesus said about your tongue was "I tell you that on the day of judgement people will have to account for every careless word they speak".

In Matt 12:36 Jesus spoke plainly about our use of words and he tells us, for every careless word there will be an accounting in the day of judgement.

According to the bible the tongue cannot be tamed by any person although in 3:7-8, James tells us that while every kind of animal has been and is being tamed by mankind the tongue itself cannot be tamed by any person.

Only God and yourself can control the tongue.

According to the Bible by human effort alone no one can tame his tongue and the tongue can no man tame: (James 3:8). Only by the grace of God in your life can you seek to control your speech.

“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me” (Philippians 4:13).

The place in the Bible that says to bite your tongue is Proverbs 17:28 which states that when even a fool bites his tongue he's considered wise.

So shut your mouth when you are provoked it will make you look smart.

The phrase "bite your tongue" means to stop yourself from saying something that you would really like to say but shouldn't.

For example I wanted to tell her what exactly I thought of her but I had to bite my tongue instead.

You should bite your tongue when you should not say a particular thing, even though you want to, because it would be the wrong thing to say at the time, or because you are waiting for a better time to speak.

I wanted to tell him how much I would miss him, but I bit my tongue.

Not to literally bite your tongue as that would hurt but you should not say something that you really want too as it may make things worse.
