Landlords are responsible for painting the interior of the dwelling such as an apartment or house at regular intervals to keep the place habitable.
The landlord cannot require the tenant to paint the interior of the dwelling.
However if the paint needs to be redone as a result of something caused by the tenant then the landlord can make the tenant responsible for painting the interior.
The paint on the interior has to be in good condition so as long as the paint is in good condition and not peeling then the landlord doesn't have to paint the interior.
