Food poisoning from chicken usually comes from chicken that is infected with Salmonella.

When the chicken is fully cooked you should not be infected with Salmonella since cooking the chicken kills off the bacteria that Salmonella is caused by.

Symptoms of food poisoning from chicken or other meats can be similar in symptoms to the flu.

When you have food poisoning you could experience symptoms such as Vomiting, Diarrhea, Abdominal Cramping and Abdominal Pain, Headaches, Fever, Nausea, Dehydration, Muscle Cramps and Muscle Pain.

Some forms of food poisoning are not deadly and can go away without treatment however it doesn't hurt to seek medical attention just in case you have the deadly form of food poisoning which is Botulism.

Signs that you could have Botulism are.

Fatigue/weakness
    Dizziness
    Double vision or blurred vision
    Dry mouth
    Difficulty swallowing or speaking
And even Paralysis "in extremely advanced cases of Botulism"

Botulism always requires medical treatment because soon after catching it you can die if not treated.
