What are the risks of having a baby after 35?

Usually if you're 35 years old or older and healthy and get pregnant then the baby should be just as healthy as well.

Being 35 or over doesn't always mean they'll be problems with the pregnancy.

However the older you are the more risky it is to have a baby.

Babies born to mothers 35 or older can have a higher chance of being born with down syndrome and other chromosome problems.

Also the older the woman the higher chance you have of losing the baby during pregnancy such as stillbirth, miscarriage or even have abnormalities or other birth defects.
