The animal that does not sleep at night are sponges as well as Jellyfish.
Sponges are ancient, sessile aquatic animals that have no brain, no nervous system or any organs so sponges don't experience any sleep.
Jellyfish are simple animals that have no heart, no brain or any bones so jellyfish don't sleep or need sleep like many other animals.
However jellyfish do have rest periods where they move much more slowly, although they don't fully shut down.
Bullfrogs also don't have a clear sleep-wake cycle and can go months without any sleep.
Bullfrogs stay alert to their environmental cures and threats and rely on occasional restful moments.
Some fruit flies also live their entire lives without sleeping and it does not affect the fruit flies health or lifespan.
Walruses can also stay awake for up to 84 hours without sleeping and spend most of that 84 hours awake swimming and looking for food.
Dolphins can also rest one half of their brain while the other half of the dolphins brain remains active.
Some animals are also nocturnal which means they are active during the night and sleep during the day.
Some examples of nocturnal animals are lions, leopards, raccoons, bats and owls.
