Driving a little slower than the speed limit can save on gasoline usage but driving too slow could cause you to use more gasoline to cover the same distance as an optimal speed.

It's actually best to drive with the flow of traffic and maintain your speed instead of slowing down or speeding up too much because going too fast and then too slow could increase your fuel consumption.
