The reason why Apple doesn't manufacture their products in the USA is because it's much cheaper to manufacture in China.

Even though the products have to be shipped back overseas to the USA it's still significantly cheaper for Apple to have their products made in China.

China has lower labor costs and a well established supply chain as well as access to specialized manufacturing expertise and infrastructure.

It's the same reason other electronics including TVs, computers and some appliances and other phones including Android phones are made in China because it's much cheaper to make those products in China than in the USA.

China workers get paid lower wages and have less benefits than American workers.

And China also has a robust and well established supply chain of electronics manufacturing as well as parts and large pool of suppliers of parts for electronics.

China also has a lot of experience and expertise in high volume electronics manufacturing and most particularly in assembling complex devices such as iPhones.

The reason why Apple changed it's name is because they wanted to reflect on the growing focus on other consumer electronics beyond the computers.

Apple changed it's name from Apple Computer, Inc to Apple Inc.

Steve Jobs announced the name change for Apple at the MacWorld Expo on in January of 2007.

Apple originally mainly focused on computers in the beginning but now they have an expanded product line which includes the iPhone, iPad, iTunes Music Store, iPod and Apple Watch and Apple tablet.

Apple's success in consumer electronics and media sales made it a leader in these industries.

The name change for Apple indicates that Apple is now more than just a computer company.

Apple is also an American multinational tech company which has revolutionized the technology sector.

The reason why Steve Jobs named the company Apple was because Steve Jobs had a particular interest in fruitarian diets and had recently returned from spending time on an apple orchard.

Steve Jobs found the name "Apple" to be simple, friendly, and approachable, which resonated with his vision for the Apple computer company.
