Front load washing machines do use less water than top load washing machines but only slightly less and not much to make a difference in your water bill to pay for the front load washing machine.

A top load washing machine is better than front load washing machines and they are also less prone to problems than front load washing machines.

Top load washing machines in my opinion and experience are better than front load washing machines as they are less prone to leak and are easier for me to load instead of having to stoop down.

Front load washing machines use a bit less water and clean just as good as top load washing machines but they are also more prone to problems.

I had a front load washing machine and while it worked great and cleaned the clothes great I found that it was more work to bend down to put the clothes in and I had problems with the door seal leaking and while that does not always happen with new washing machines I decided to return it and get another top load washing machine.

Both top load washing machines and front load washing machines are good and work great but I prefer the top load washing machine.
