Yes dogs and cats can have periods just like female humans although sometimes it's not noticeable.
Sometimes you can notice your dog or cat leaving blood from it's period on things but other times it may be so small that you might not notice.
I had a female dog before and she did get on her period and I did have to take baby diapers and cut a tail hole and put them on her for her period.
