Couriers can deliver to parcel lockers such as smart lockers which can accept deliveries from any courier.

USPS parcel lockers can only be used by USPS employees to place parcels in but other parcel lockers can be used by any courier.

Some parcel lockers work by way of a key that is placed into your mailbox and you take the key and open the parcel locker.

Then the key stays in the parcel locker lock and is then retrieved by the postal employee.

Some parcel lockers use electronic means of opening such as from an app on your phone if it's a different type of parcel locker.

Or you enter a code that is given to you on your phone or online for pickup and you enter the code and retrieve your item or items.

To open a USPS parcel locker you take the key that was left inside your mailbox and then look on the key chain for the number of the parcel locker.

Then go to the parcel locker with the right number and insert the key and open the parcel locker and the key will remain in the parcel locker lock which will then be retrieved by the postal employee.

The size of a parcel locker varies although a commercial sized parcel locker is 79 inches tall and 39 ½ inches wide, and the depth is 24 inches. .

Although the USPS parcel lockers are smaller for smaller packages and are usually about the size of a small microwave.

Some parcel lockers are smaller and some also have different compartment sizes.

Instead of leaving a package in your lobby or outside where anyone could take it, the mail carrier is able to deliver your packages to a secure, lockable locker.

This lock can only be opened by the corresponding parcel locker key.

The key will be placed in your secure, locking mailbox by the postal carrier.

The parcel locker is used for items that are too large to fit in an individual box (compartment) within the Cluster Box.

A key will be left in the mailbox to be used as a parcel locker key.

This key has a tag that indicates the parcel locker that contains the item.

USPS puts packages in parcel lockers when the package is too large to fit into your mailbox.

By using a parcel locker, USPS' delivery personnel can securely deliver your package without leaving it outside or in an unsecured location.

Yes, couriers can deliver to parcel lockers, making it convenient for those who aren't home during delivery hours. It's important to check with the specific courier service to ensure they offer this option. For example, contacting customer service using the Canada Post phone number can provide details about their parcel locker services. This option is secure and often available 24/7, making it a great choice for receiving packages. Many people find parcel lockers to be a reliable and safe way to manage their deliveries.
