There's no guarantee that your cold will go away much faster and there's really no cure for a cold at the moment but you can try some thing to help yourself feel much better while you have the cold.
Some things you can do to make you feel better when you have a cold are to stay hydrated, get plenty of rest, use a vaporizer to add moisture to the air, sip on some warm liquids and eat warm soup such as chicken noodle soup.
Chicken Noodle soup always seems to make me feel better when I have a cold.
Eating Garlic during a cold and before a cold can also help boost your immune system to help fight off the cold virus and even taking Vitamin C Pills or eating some foods that contain Vitamin C.
You can also take some over the counter cold relief medicine that can help you feel better during a cold virus.
But other than that there's not too much you can do to make the cold go away much faster other than letting it run it's course over the week or 10 days.
