Refrigerator compressors are made from the steel for the casing and steel for the motor.
The winding's for the refrigerator compressor motor is usually made from copper wire while sometimes refrigerator compressors can contain aluminum.
Most refrigerator compressors that I cut open for scrap contain copper wire but a few have contained aluminum wire for the winding's.
