Deep Tissue massages can cause some pain and it's normal to feel some pain when getting the deep tissue massage.
When I go in for a deep tissue massage I do feel some pain but later the pain goes away and I always feel much better after the deep tissue massage even though at first there may be some pain.
Some people say it doesn't hurt them when they get a deep tissue massage but it just depends on the inconsistencies of the muscles tissues.
Even though you may experience some pain at first with the deep tissue massage the pain you experience in the beginning will be well worth it because afterwards you should feel a lot better.
