Most Tornadoes form from Thunderstorms in the area.
For Tornadoes to form you need a few things which are warm, moist air from the Gulf of Mexico and cool, dry air from Canada.
When the two air masses meet, they then create instability in the atmosphere which results in the formation of a Tornado.
