Yes if you have a checking or savings account at a bank then yes the creditor can take money out of your bank account to pay back the debt owed.
But first the creditor has to take you to court and sue you and win a judgement and get the judges permission to levy your bank account.
Without the court ordered Levy then the creditor can't simply remove money from your bank account without your permission.
