Shaving pubic hair does reduce odor some although not fully.

Pubic hair can trap sweat, bodily fluids and bacteria, which can cause odor.

And shaving of the pubic hair removes the hair with the bacteria and reduces the surface area where the bodily fluids, bacteria and sweat can be trapped.

To further get rid of body odor besides shaving your pubic hair you should also wash your pubic area with soap and water daily to help eliminate any bacteria and bodily fluids form building up and causing body odor.

Some people also prefer to shave their pubic hair because they don't like the pubic hair which is also okay.

Pubic hair also traps the bacteria and dirt and prevents it from getting into a woman's vaginal opening so it does serve a purpose.

But it's okay to shave the pubic hair if you prefer to do so whether your a male or female.

Shaving pubic hair does not fully increase hygiene but there's no harm in shaving it.

You may need to shave your pubic hair whether as a woman or man every few days to keep it short and keep it from growing back too long.

Ensure you use a good non scented shaving cream or shaving gel and a good sharp razor.
