Not sure what you're trying to do with the Olive oil in your ear but if you're trying to dissolve earwax with the olive oil you should leave the olive oil in your ear overnight to allow it to help dissolve the earwax and then clean your ear out in the morning.
Apply a few drops of Olive oil inside your ear for 1 to 2 weeks or until the earwax build up is gone.
If you're trying to treat an earache or ear infection you should apply a few drops of olive oil to the ears and leave it in for 30 minutes to an hour and continue applying a few drops of olive oil in your ear until the earache or ear infection goes away.
