There's no regulation by the Department of Transportation on the age to purchase an airline ticket so if you're minor you can purchase a plane ticket without parents being at the airport with you or you can purchase an airline ticket online without parents.
As long as you can pay for the ticket you can buy a plane ticket at any age.
