Yes Medical bills of either spouse are considered to be marital debt but you're only responsible for your spouses debt that was accumulated during the time of your marriage and no other debt including medical bills that your spouse accumulates after your divorce would be your responsibility.
That goes for other bills as well. If you had bills during your marriage then both spouses are responsible for the bills that occurred during marriage.
