A 30 AMP electrical circuit and outlet can supply up to a maximum of 3,600 watts of electricity before it becomes overloaded and trips the breaker.
For a 30 AMP circuit at 240 volts you could safely use 12 gauge electrical wire but to be even safer and meet code you should up the size of the wire to 10 gauge because it's much better to be oversized with wire gauge than it is to be undersized with electrical wire.
