The maximum distance that electrical outlets should be spaced from each other are 12 feet.
That's what the NEC National Electrical Code states that electrical outlets should be spaced no further than 12 feet apart.
It's best to space electrical outlets every 5 to 6 feet in a room since 12 feet is really to far for electrical outlets in my opinion.
As long as you keep the spacing 12 feet and under you'll be okay with whatever distance you decide to space the electrical outlets.
