The amount of baby wipes you need is 1 to 2 wipes for pee diapers and around 2 to 4 wipes for poopy diapers although sometimes you might need more depending on how bad the poopy diapers is.
If the baby or toddler had a real bad poop then it can be best to wash them off in the shower instead of using wipes.
You should have at least 30 wipes a day to be sure you have enough baby wipes on hand.
It's recommended to have at least 2 packs of wet wipes per week or 8 packs of wet wipes per month.
You don't have to wipe baby after pee if they are in disposable diapers.
However if the baby is wearing cloth diapers then you do have to and should always wipe baby after pee as the pee will be in contact with the baby's sensitive skin and cause diaper rash and make them smell of urine.
With disposable diapers the disposable diapers pull the pee away from the skin so the skin is usually dry and not in direct contact with the pee.
However when the disposable diaper is really full of pee then some pee can be in contact with the skin when in disposable diapers so you should wipe after those pees.
I've always used at least a wet washcloth to wipe my baby's and toddlers diapers after pee as it just helps them feel clean between diaper changes and prevents any possible rash.
The baby or toddler will sometimes be sweaty down in the diaper area anyway so it's good to wipe them down during every diaper change with at least a washcloth and water.
You don't have to use baby wipes all the time as a wash cloth works pretty good as well.
Be sure to change the diapers when they are poopy right away or when you notice and to change wet diapers every 2 to 3 hours or 4 hours depending on the baby's age and how often they wet.
If the diaper is full before that time then of course change the diaper.
There's no need to change the baby or toddlers diaper every single time they pee.
