Sometimes you can donate your car without a title and sometimes you can't.
It depends on who you donate the car to on whether they'll accept the car without a title.
If the car is donated without a title then it will just be sold for scrap or dismantled for parts.
A car without a title won't be able to be driven down the road anymore.
When donating a car without a title or selling the car without a title for Junk then you'll need to prove ownership of that car somehow such as with an old registration and drivers license then sometimes that will work.
If you previously had the title to the car but have lost the title to the car you can go to the DMV and put in for a lost title and then they'll mail you a duplicate title for the car.
