Pedialyte is an electrolyte drink that helps to restore fluids, zinc, electrolytes and prevent dehydration.

Pedialyte is formulated with the optimal balance of sodium electrolytes and sugar that are needed to help to replenish the needed fluids and electrolytes that are lost when someone is sick which can lead to dehydration.

The pedialyte drink is most commonly consumed by children although anyone including adults can drink Pedialyte.

Pedialyte is used to replace fluids and minerals (such as sodium, potassium) lost due to diarrhea and vomiting.

Also pedialyte helps to prevent or treat the dehydration.

Having the right amount of fluids and minerals is important for the normal functioning of the body.

In order to maintain proper hydration, 4–8 servings (32 to 64 fl oz) of Pedialyte may be needed per day.

You should speak with your doctor if vomiting, fever, or diarrhea continues beyond 24 hours or if consumption needs are greater than 2 liters (64 fl oz) per day.

Shake the pedialyte bottle well before drinking the Pedialyte solution.

Unless recommended by a doctor, liquid forms of Pedialyte should not be mixed with other fluids such as water, juices, milk, or formula.
