Not really.
Even though it seems that if we do provide more jobs to people in the USA the poverty will still be there.
Right now there really is no shortage of jobs that you don't need a college degree for. But the problem with those jobs is they don't pay enough money hourly to keep peoples bills paid and support a family.
To really get yourself out of poverty you need to get a college education in some high paying career job such as nursing, doctoring, surgeon, lawyer, and computer programming or sysadmin jobs.
The problem with that is not everyone can learn and keep those skills in their mind for those type of jobs so not everyone can qualify for those type of high paying jobs even though they might go to college to study for it.
What we need are jobs that pay enough to live on without having to have a college degree but that's gonna be hard because prices for goods and other consumer services would have to increase to pay those people more money hourly.
If you really want to get yourself out of poverty then see if you can start your own business and be your own boss instead of working for others for lower wages and making those people rich.
