Is it safe to leave a ceiling fan on all the time?

I want to leave my ceiling fan on all the time while I'm away from home to keep a breeze going in the house and keep some air moving to keep my dog cool while he's in the house alone while I'm gone to work.

Ceiling fans are very safe to leave on all the time and I've never had anything happen while leaving the ceiling fan on while gone or away from the room.

Ceiling fans have sealed bearings in their motors and are built to spin for years and years without a problem.

If the ceiling fan bearing does seize up then the breaker in your electrical panel should trip from the overload however it's unlikely to happen especially if the ceiling fan is under 10 years old.

Overheating of the ceiling fan shouldn't be an issue to worry about although you never know as things can happen even though we don't think they could.

But I personally wouldn't worry too much about it and leave the ceiling fan on if you want too.

I leave my ceiling fan on hour hours while I'm gone to keep the air circulating and have done so for years to keep my pets cool and I've never had a problem doing so.

Yes leaving your ceiling fan on is very safe and I've done so for years too.

I hardly ever turn my ceiling fan off during the summer months to help distribute the cool air from the central air conditioner while I'm at home and away from home.

However I do shut the ceiling fan off if I'm gonna be away from the home longer than a day and nobody else is home since it would just be a waste of electricity and money to leave it going when no one is there.

But leaving the ceiling fan on for your dog or other pets is okay to do and safe.
