After that is with any mentor especially an older person who will lend their respectableness to you for the purposes of landowner permissions. They often know everyone for miles and will introduce you. That being said any mentor is better than none unless they are scumbags with no morals.
If you can’t find a mentor or are intent on going it alone you will need to take a hunters education course (everyone has to not just the un-mentored). They will teach you the basics.
